Data centre thermal manager can cut energy use in half
Emerson Network Power has introduced its Liebert iCOM thermal controls to offer data centre managers higher energy efficiency, protection and actionable insight at the cooling unit and thermal management system levels. The next-gen Liebert iCOM unit and supervisory system controls simply optimise infrastructures for monitoring and managing the environment and controlling the operation of thermal management systems.
µModule regulator is PMBus-compatible
A dual 9A or single 18A µModule step-down DC/DC regulator with PMBus serial digital interface has been introduced by Linear Technology. The LTM4675 features an I²C-based interface, which enables system designers and remote operators to command and supervise a system’s power condition and consumption.
Semi-enclosed power supplies meet 2xMOPP requirements
Providing 100 or 135W maximum power in a semi-enclosed case without forced cooling, the RACM100 and RACM150 AC/DC power supplies have been unveiled by RECOM. The space saving 3x2 or 4x2" modules offer 4kVAC reinforced isolation between input and output, 1.5kVAC between output and case and meet the requirements for medical applications with patient contact (2xMOPP, 8mm creepage & clearance and 250VAC working voltage).
AC/DC power supplies meet upcoming DoE regulations
Introducing 50 and 65W models, CUI has expanded its Level VI desktop AC/DC power supply family. Set to go into effect in February 2016 in the US, the Level VI standards mandated by the US DoE aim to lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected to the system. The SDI50-U and SDI65-U series meet these more stringent efficiency and no load power requirements.
SMD power inductors feature values ranging from 1 to 1500uH
SMD power inductors with an inductance value ranging from 1 to 1500uH have been introduced by TFC. The devices provide for high power and high saturation, allowing for high current applications. Suitable applications include portable communication equipment, hard disk drives, LCD televisions, power supplies for VTRs, DC/DC converters and notebook PCs.
AEG supplies storage converters for UET's Uni.System
Announcing it has been chosen by UniEnergy Technologies (UET), AEG Power Solutions is to supply Protect SC.600 storage converters for UET's Uni.System. UET produces innovative large-scale battery energy storage systems for utility, commercial and industrial, micro-grid and other applications.
Power bank is shock & water resistant
Designed for people who need to spend time away from AC mains charging facilities for long periods, Powersolve Mobile has announced a compact, tough and rugged rechargeable power bank. Anglers, campers, hikers, festival-goers and other active people will find this latest power bank makes a key addition to their equipment.
AC/DC adapter meets Level VI Standards
A 6W wall plug-in AC/DC adapter with international interchangeable blades has been introduced by GlobTek. The GT-43086-WWVV-X.X-Q Model, which expands the company’s Level VI compliant GT-43086 family, have been released well ahead of the February 2016 compliance requirement for External Power Supplies (EPS) to meet Level VI Standards.
UPS has fixed capacities from 10 to 200kW
Five additional capacities of the Liebert eXM UPS system have been introduced by Emerson Network Power. The five capacities are for IT spaces with medium power requirements and the need for greater cost control, efficiency and speed of deployment. The 3-phase UPS now includes 13 fixed capacities from 10 to 200kW.
Regulator provides a power noise resilience better than 6dB
Designed to help SoC integrators secure the operations of RF blocks, the nLR-Charny low-noise linear regulator has been released by Dolphin Integration. The device, which meets stringent low noise requirements, is suitable for use with a wide range of standard cells, memories and power regulators to meet the challenges of embedded low power voltage domains.
