Efficient 350W supplies meet IT & medical requirements
XP Power has announced the 350W GCS350 series addition to its GCS range of high efficiency AC/DC power supplies. Available in multiple mechanical formats, including the industry standard 127x76.2x36.3mm open frame package, other formats available are an enclosed covered version, and top or end-mounted fan cover versions. The GCS350 series comprises six single output models covering the common nominal outputs from +12 to +56VDC.
The advantages of digital signal processing
In the quest for increased performance, flexibility, configurability, communications and remote monitoring and control, the power electronics industry is increasingly moving from analogue to digital power converters, particularly when high-density power output is required. Many mission-critical operations in aerospace and defence, as well as some industrial applications, require high output power in the multi-kilowatt range.
Isolated base modules feature smaller footprint pressure
IXYS has announced that its wholly owned UK subsidiary, IXYS UK Westcode, has introduced a range of smaller footprint pressure contact construction isolated base modules. This product group includes 30 products comprising dual thyristor and diodes, plus diode/thyristor combinations with voltage ratings from 1,400 to 3,600V and current ratings from 160 to 510A.
DIN Rail power supplies suit building & industrial automation
Ideal Power have added a recent range of competitively priced high quality DIN Rail power supply units to their product range. The DIN Rail power supplies are available from stock and have been sourced for their high performance and reliability and compliment the company’s existing portfolio of open frame and external power supplies, DC/DC converters, LED drivers and battery chargers.
Compact 600V power MOSFETs offer low thermal resistance
Vishay Intertechnology has announced that it is now offering its 600V E Series power MOSFETs in the compact PowerPAK 8x8 package. The Vishay Siliconix SiHH26N60E, SiHH21N60E, SiHH14N60E, and SiHH11N60E all feature a large drain terminal for low thermal resistance and a Kelvin source connection that can increase efficiency by improving the gate drive signal.
DC/DC supplies combine quality & reliability
MTM Power's MPG-Series DC/DC power supply systems are designed for different applications in transportation and telecomms, as well as the charging of lead batteries during stand-by parallel operation. The supplies offer a combination of high quality, reliability and stressability. The universally usable, modular and easy-to-scale system is based on the PCMD250W and PCMD400W series of DC/DC converters.
60-65W power adapters meet energy efficiency Level VI
Get a head start in meeting the latest energy efficiency standards starting with TRUMPower's TTA65 series of 60-65W desktop power adapters, which meet DoE level VI, Energy Star, ErP stage II, NRCan & GEMS level VI efficiency standards.
DTMOS IV power MOSFETs integrate high speed diodes
Expanding its range of 600V DTMOS IV MOSFETs, Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced versions featuring integrated High Speed Diodes (HSDs) for use in high efficiency power supplies and either full or half bridge motor control applications. The reverse recovery time of the HSDs suffers only from minimised thermal influence, ensuring fast switching across a wide range of temperatures.
Auto-ranging feature adds flexibility to DC power supplies
Intepro Systems introduces the PS9000 2U series of auto-ranging programmable DC power sources with models rated at 1.5 and 3.0kW. The panel-mounted units operate at 92-93% efficiency. Compared to alternative products in this price/performance class that operate at 82-87% efficiency, Intepro’s PS9000 2U series offers lower heat dissipation and lower operating cost.
DC power supply offers dual outputs of 15 and 90W
Global Specialties has introduced a dual output power supply which provides up to 30V at 3A. The 1415's secondary fixed output offers 5V at 3A. Automatic crossover between the Constant Current (CC) and Constant Voltage (CV) modes allows continuous transition from CC to CV in response to load condition changes. Multiple units can be connected in series or parallel for greater voltage or current outputs.
