Connectors enhance versatility in harsh environments
The M12 industrial connector family has been expanded by HARTING with the introduction of two versions designed to enhance its versatility in harsh environments: a “press and go” custom cable assembly technology and an outdoor M12 connector based on V4A grade stainless steel. The “press and go” concept is designed to combine the ruggedness of moulded cable connections with the flexibility of custom cable ass...
High-speed data, audio and video for aircraft interiors
Bringing easy access to high-speed data, audio and video connections to the aircraft interiors industry, Molex Incorporated has announced its Media Connectivity Module (MCM) solution. The MCMs can be quickly and cost-effectively designed and supplied with high-level custom options including full I/O integration, passive and active PCB routing and mechanical enclosure design.
Connectivity solutions for defence applications
Detailing the company’s wide ranging product portfolio for defence applications, HUBER+SUHNER's recently published brochure includes a variety of cable, cable assemblies, connectors and EMP and lightning protectors for airborne, shipborne and ground-based systems. It is available to view and download online as an e-paper.
Connector series stands up to harsh environments
Binder’s UL-approved connector Series 696 are designed to withstand harsh environments. It is designed for outdoor use and is waterproof and dustproof to IP68, IP69k. Known as the HEC (harsh environment connector), the Series 696 withstands high-pressure washing and offers high levels of resistance to UV, temperature fluctuations, acid rain, salt spray, ozone and other pollutants.
Board-to-board power connector supports currents up to 60A
Strengthening the company's board-to-board power connector portfolio, Hirose has introduced the flexible and customisable IT-P series. Featuring a 3-piece structure consisting of the mating receptacle, the interposer and the mounting receptacle, the series provides a wide range of variable height interposers to achieve board-to-board stack heights in the range of 13.5-44mm.
Unwanted EMI won't get between the sheets
Mouser Electronics is now shipping the HOZOX EMI absorption sheets and tape manufactured by Molex. While only 0.1mm thick, these flexible sheets suppress most unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI) while meeting government EMC regulations worldwide. The unique dual-layer structure of the HOZOX allows the sheeting to efficiently absorb both megahertz and gigahertz electromagnetic energy, providing a wide range of EMI protection for a variety ...
Explosion proof connectors are also IECEx Group 1 certified
A connector series that is explosion proof and certified for use in IECEx Group 1 mining hazardous locations has been launched by Amphenol Industrial Products. The heavy duty Amphe-Mine EX product line is made up of environmentally sealed plugs and receptacles, and is suited for use in underground mining explosive environments, petrochemical refineries and land and offshore drilling systems.
Split blade connectors increase design flexibility
Enabling the company to meet an even wider range of power and signal requirements for data communications, telecommunications and power supply customers requiring high-current density and low power loss, Molex Incorporated expands its EXTreme Ten60Power High Current Connector line of products with the introduction of the EXTreme Ten60 Split-Blade contact system.
Feed-through connector eases industrial cable installation
A robust pluggable feed-through connector, designed to house the Han-Yellock connector family, is now being offered by HARTING. In addition to easing the laying of cable through different rooms in industrial environments, the panel feed-through also offers considerable robustness along with an IP 67 degree of protection in the plugged-in condition.
Connector simplifes and speeds lighting installation
A cost-efficient interconnect solution, the Passive Safety Pole Connector from Molex speeds the installation, maintenance, repair and removal of roadside equipment and furniture, such as street lighting, traffic signals and road signage. Tried and tested in parts of Europe, it includes safety devices and systems that operate without need for human input or action.
