Sealed connector system is compact and robust
A sealed connector system has been launched by Molex. The MXP120 Sealed Connector System is a 4.00mm pitch connection system based on 1.20mm terminals for automotive and commercial vehicle in-line harness applications. Meeting medium power application requirements up to 13.0A, the MXP120 can replace common 1.50mm systems to achieve a smaller, more compact solution.
RFID technology enhances industrial connectors
Now incorporating RFID transponders, HARTING’s Han family of industrial connectors allow specific data on the connector configuration to be linked with factory IT systems. This helps processes such as the ordering of spare parts. UV and ozone resistant materials and seals offer optimum protection against external physical influences and a temperature range from -40 to +125°C.
PCB connectors, relays beef up RS portfolio
A raft of new products from Phoenix Contact has been added to the inventory at RS Components to support electrical equipment installers and maintenance engineers in electrical systems and automation markets. The Phoenix Contact portfolio covers a broad range of products including PCB connectors, terminal blocks, signal conditioning, relays, interface relays, PLCs and power supplies, among many others types.
Wires,cables use 100% recyclable insulation
Farnell element14 has launched the EcoCable and EcoFlex range from Alpha Wire. Utilising the innovative 100% recyclable mPPE insulation found in EcoWire, EcoCable and EcoFlex are designed to be up to 65% lighter and 47% smaller, with up to 91% lower outgassing than traditional PVC cable and capable of handling temperature extremes to -50°C.
Connectors target thin LED lighting-module applications
Offering a low profile, easy wire removal, as well as low wire insertion and high wire retention forces and ideal for thin LED lighting-module applications, Molex’s Lite-Trap SMT wire-to-board connectors can now be ordered from TTI. The Lite-Trap connectors offer the lowest profile (4.20mm) available of similar wire-removable types. Other lower-profile versions are permanent one-time connection types that do not allow wire removal.
Interconnect System is Suited for Large-Scale Storage
Molex has announced the launch of its new comprehensive iPass+ High-Density Interconnect System, comprised of host-side board connectors, internal and external copper cable assemblies and Active Optical Cables (AOCs) capable of transporting SAS 3.0, 12 Gbps signals in lengths up to 100 meters. The enhanced iPass+ HD system is designed and engineered to meet the new performance standards for speed and density.
Connector provides high-current capacity in a compact size
Hirose has developed the DF63 connector, a robust wire-to-board connector that combines small size with high-current capacity and high reliability. Featuring a 3.96mm pitch, the DF63 Series connector provides a high current rating of up to 15 amps and is suitable for use with #16 to #18 AWG wire. Current capacity varies with pin count and wire size. This compact DF63 Series connector features up to 30% reduction in occupied board area compared to...
