Compliant Interface Connector developed with efficient design
A mid-mount USB 3.1 Type-C receptacle with an efficient design, has been developed by Hirose, which offers a compact footprint to save valuable board space. Featuring a depth of only 8.35mm, the shorter design creates additional board space for optimising antenna designs and space for larger batteries. By comparison, conventional Type-C connectors are significantly longer, up to 9.4mm, which uses valuable board space.
Wire splice connectors for lighting installations
TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced the new Push Grip wire connectors for electrical installations. These tool-less, poke-in wire splice connectors provide visual termination of solid and stranded wires in gauges from 22-12AWG (0.5–2.5mm2). The connectors are colour-coded according to the number of positions for easy identification, and their compact size enables them to be used in tight spaces. A test slot incorporated into each conne...
2A switching regulator can reach efficiencies up to 96%
RECOM has expanded its R-78B series with a new 2A on-board power supply. These switching regulators can reach efficiencies up to 96%, without heat sinks. The R-78Bxx-2.0 series provides a high power density of up to 17.5W per cm³ in a SIP3 housing measuring only 11.5 x 8.5 x 17.5 mm. The R-78Bxx-2.0 series switching regulators are ideally suited to replace 78xx linear regulators and are also pin compatible with linear regulators in TO-2...
Small linear axis suits large tasks
Small, light and flat – these are the properties of the low-profile, linear axis drylin SLN-27. When used in combination with the dryspin high-helix threads, the linear axis not only carries out simple handling tasks; by implementing a stepper or DC motor, it can also handle high-speed sensor adjustments. The drylin SLN-27 is based on the low profile linear guide system drylin N with a rail width of 27 mm. The materials and the design ...
FireFly power/control connector adopted by COBO
Samtec has announced the Consortium for On Board Optics (COBO) has adopted a two-piece surface mount connector system based on Samtec’s FireFly Micro Flyover System for the next generation of standardized on-board optical modules. As part of the new miniature footprint, the Power/Control connector from Samtec reduces the size of on-board optical modules while increasing port density in data center and HPC applications.
Smallest bend radius for extended range of servo cables
Offering possibilities for energy supply to drives, motors and industrial machines, igus has introduced the new range of CF29 servo cables. The range has been designed for users with demanding requirements such as very low ambient temperatures, particularly small installation spaces or extremely heavy duty applications.
PV options added to standard connector range
The connector offering available from Stäubli Electrical Connectors now includes the MC4 solar power range. The high performance PV units were branded as Multi-Contact before the company's change of name earlier this year. More than one billion photovoltaic connectors in the MC4 family have been installed worldwide over the past 20 years, often operating in the harshest of environments.
Value-line models added to cable assembly family
The Micro-MaTch family of cable assemblies from TE Connectivity (TE) has been expanded with the addition of value-line models. They provide a cost effective solution for general purpose applications that do not require resistance to the highest temperature ranges, to high levels of vibration, or to extended durability cycles. They are suitable for use in environments where temperatures do not stray outside -30°C to 80°C.
High-current power connector simplifies installation
Hirose has launched a new high-current power supply connector with a snap-lock mechanism that ensures a safe and secure connection. Available in panel mount and DIN rail versions, the snap-lock EM35M Series power connector reduces wiring procedures and eliminates screw loosening commonly found in buss bar applications. Designed for manufacturing power control boxes, generators, fuel batteries, and more, the EM35M Series power connector suppo...
Assemblies engineered for RF, Ethernet and NEMA power applications
The availability of semi-custom SAFER (Smoke and Fire Exposure Reducing) Cable Assembly Series for RF, Ethernet (RJ45), and power applications has been announced by CDM Electronics. The Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) SAFER cable assemblies are intended for spaces where large amounts of cables are in close proximity to people or sensitive electronic equipment, and anywhere PVC’s combustive toxicity is restricted by fire code.
