Having made significant investments in hardware improvements in 2014, EMS-provider Season Group has turned its focus onto its control system. The investment in Aegis FactoryLogix is Season Group’s largest single software investment in its 40 year history and the company expects it to bring major efficiency improvements, as well as significant benefits to its customers.

Season Group has appointed an experienced quality director, Keith Stone, to head up the Group’s Quality function in the UK. Keith has an excellent track record in both Quality systems and Production Engineering and has held a number of senior industry positions, most recently as Group Engineering and Quality Director at ACW Technology.

Season Group has made a number of key appointments in the US as the Group looks to further its growth and expansion strategy globally. Season Group, has completed the acquisition of Outsource Electronics Limited in the UK. The deal follows the acquisition of DSP Design in Chesterfield, East Midlands, in 2012 and forms part of the group’s strategy to grow its global offering in line with customer demand. DSP Design will be launching a new range of Freescale embedded processors at Embedded World 2013 which takes place in Nuremberg, Germany between February 26th and 28th. The new product range, which offers developers both flexibility and rapid development to ensure accelerated time to market, comes within months of DSP Design’s acquisition by Season Group.

Season Group has announced that it has acquired DSP Design - one of the UK’s market leaders in embedded computer technology. Based at the Tapton Park Innovation Centre in Chesterfield, DSP Design specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of standard, as well as custom-made, embedded computer systems to original equipment manufacturers.

Season Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UK-based Outsource Electronics Limited. The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on a number of projects and services, ensuring maximum flexibility and cost benefits for Original Equipment Manufacturer customers.
