DIGI ERT/ETHERNET GATEWAY EARNS FIRST ITRON CHOICECONNECT ERT RECEIVER LOGO CERTIFICATION

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) andQualityLogic Inc. (www.qualitylogic.com) announced today that the Digi ERT/Ethernet Gateway has successfully completed the testing under the Itron ChoiceConnect ERT Receiver Logo Program and is the first product to receive logo certification. Under the program, QualityLogic tests the compatibility between Itron’s ChoiceConnect meter messages and devices from vendors who have licensed Itron reading technology, certifying interoperability.

Digi Provides Critical Wireless Communication Infrastructure for Better Place, a Market Leader in Electric Vehicle Networks and Services

Digi International today announced that Better Place is using its Digi TransPort 6410 high-speed cellular router to connect Electric Vehicle (EV) docking stations to the Better Place electric car network in Israel. GEO and Digi International Collaborate to Provide a Full Energy Management Solution for the Utility Market

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) and Green Energy Options (GEO) today announced at the E-World Energy and Water Exhibition that they are entering a joint collaboration agreement to develop a real-time, web-based energy management system for the European utility market. The new energy consumption information and control solution is based on the iDigi platform and Digi X-Grid solution, a solution for extending the power grid beyond the meter.

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today introduced “Smart Grid Now” bundles that make it easy and cost effective for utilities to conduct an energy management pilot program and offer a broad range of new energy efficiency services to their customers. The “Smart Grid Now” bundles include the technology and infrastructure necessary to conduct a Smart Grid pilot program in areas with Advanced Meter Reading (AMR) or Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) networks in place. NetControl chooses Digi Connect WAN 3G to enable its NetCase on-board bus ticketing system

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today announced the integration of the Digi Connect WAN 3G cellular router into NetCase, an on-board ticketing system with a touchscreen PC from NetControl. The French specialist in on-board computer systems for the tourism industry installed the NetCase in 35 of the buses owned by OpenTour, the Société des Lignes Touristiques created by Cityrama, that offers sightseeing tours in Paris, Nice, Lyon, etc. The Connect WAN 3G connects the NetCase to the NetControl servers via high-speed data connectivity over standard cellular networks. Once connected, the NetCase facilitates on-board ticket sales, card payments using payment terminals, the collection of prepaid tickets and vouchers, and the validation of electronic tickets identified by a reservation code (the tickets are validated using a 2D barcode scanner).

Digi and Cooper Power Systems Partner to Provide IP Based Demand Response Solution

Digi International and Cooper Power Systems, a division of Cooper Industries plc, today announced a partnership to provide a ZigBee Smart Energy Profile (SEP)-enabled two-way IP-based demand response solution. Cooper Power Systems offers its ZigBee SEP 1.0-enabled thermostats and the industry leading Yukon Energy Services Software Platform, while Digi provides the ConnectPort X2 for Smart Energygateway and iDigi platform. Digi’s plug-and-play Smart Energy solution connects Cooper Power Systems SEP 1.0 devices from a Home Area Network (HAN) to a utility via the location’s broadband connection. Cooper Power Systems will include support for the iDigi solution in their next Yukon software release. This will allow Cooper Power Systems to offer the solution to new customers and any of the more than 200 existing Yukon installations at North American Utilities.

Digi TransPort Cellular Routers Now Support CDMA450 Data Networks in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe

Digi International announced that its Digi TransPortenterprise class, multi-function cellular routers can now be used on CDMA450 data networks prevalent throughout Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Because CDMA450 transmits over lower frequency via 450 MHz, it is able to communicate over much longer distances, allowing cellular operators to cover larger geographic areas with fewer cell towers. This enables high-speed data connectivity in rural, newly developing markets. Digi TransPort cellular routers provide secure high-speed wireless connectivity to remote sites and devices for primary or backup wireless broadband network connectivity over CDMA450 networks. The products feature advanced routing, state-of-the-art security and backup cellular interfaces.
