Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) andQualityLogic Inc. (www.qualitylogic.com) announced today that the Digi ERT/Ethernet Gateway has successfully completed the testing under the Itron ChoiceConnect ERT Receiver Logo Program and is the first product to receive logo certification. Under the program, QualityLogic tests the compatibility between Itron’s ChoiceConnect meter messages and devices from vendors who have licensed Itron reading technology, certifying interoperability.

Digi International today announced that Comverge is using the Digi X-Grid solution to integrate Itron ERT meters into its Intelligent Energy Management platform. The Digi X-Grid solutionis an “Extended Grid” that allows utilities to inform, empower and engage customers through real-time, IP-based monitoring and control of energy devices that exist beyond the electric meter. It enables easy online access of Itron ERT metering data on the Comverge IntelliSOURCE platform. This allows utilities to access real-time actionable energy consumption data using existing investments in AMR meters and network systems.
