Power connector claims industry’s lowest-profile
Featuring a narrow 1.7mm pitch and 1.8mm mated height, the DF65 series wire-to-board connector has been hailed as the industry’s lowest-profile power connector by manufacturer Hirose. The connector provides high-current capacity and high reliability for power supplies, up to 4A (with 24 AWG wire) and 50V AC/DC.
Low profile connectors achieve high current rating & density
FCI has expanded its PwrBlade ULTRA series to include the Right-Angle and Coplanar configurations. With a unique hard-metric compatible design, the vertical receptacle connectors allow the use of PwrBlade ULTRA in traditional backplane applications. The right-angle receptacle provides for low profile coplanar applications.
Hermetically sealed connectors suit extreme environments
Molex has launched its Hermetic-Sealed Multi-Fibre Circular MT Optical Assemblies, delivering extreme sealing performance in the industry’s smallest footprint. The MT Optical Assemblies provide system reliability in extreme environments, including severe weather conditions, high altitudes and high atmospheric pressures. These conditions can cause ordinary surveillance and sensor equipment to fail, which can create critical communicatio...
MIPP options provide easy organisation and linking
Belden has introduced distinct ranges of structured (MIPP) Modular Industrial Patch Panel products for harsh industrial applications. With three robust, versatile termination panel options available, engineers and installers can connect both fibre and copper cables from operating environments to active equipment.
Multi-function USB Type-C can be implemented rapidly
Lattice Semiconductor has announced four solutions that allow the rapid implementation of the recently released USB Type-C standard. These products have already been adopted by some customers, and Lattice will offer demonstrations during the USB 3.1 Developers’ Day, held in Singapore on 19th and 20th November.
Don't use cables with too large a cross-section
Expanding its RADOX family of shielded power and battery cables, HUBER+SUHNER has introduced cables with cross-sections of 8, 12, 20, 30, 40 and 60mm2. This makes HUBER+SUHNER one of the first manufacturers to offer the entire cross-section set from 1.5 up to 150mm2. Not being forced to use cables with a larger than needed cross-section, users can now save crucial space, weight and cost.
Pin socket version extends connector range
Fischer Connectors has extended its MiniMax Series of high performance rugged connector with a pin socket version. This means the MiniMax Series is now available both in 19 and 24 pin configuration, giving designers more flexibility, especially where space and weight restrictions play a role.
Compact AC connector enables PV module stacking
A three pole AC connector has been developed by Multi-Contact for use with micro or nano PV inverters. Designed for module and string level applications, the MC4-EVO AC's low profile allows it to fit within the solar panel framework, allowing modules to be stacked without the use of spacers.
Belden's New Molded Cord Sets Support High-Speed Network Connections
Belden Inc has announced two new M12 data cord sets from Lumberg Automation - BRSTS 8X-552/…M and RSTS 8X-478/…M. The cord sets are robustly designed to establish high-speed connections and optimize uptime for industrial Ethernet applications across transportation, automotive and automated settings.
Power connectors resist extreme temperatures
In response to demands from customers requiring a resilient power connector, Harwin, has launched a family of high density power connectors that can handle currents up to 10A and withstand temperatures between -65degrees C and 175 degrees C. Based on a 3mm pitch, the M300 connectors are designed for rugged environments and withstand twice the number of operations as older generation products.
