Varitronix launches ‘free-shape’ LCD serviceLCD displays in polygonal or even circular shapes are available from industrial and automotive specialist Varitronix following investment in new precision glass scribing technology. Glass can now be cut up to 500mm square, generating polygons, circles or other more complex shapes including arcs. Daylight-readable LED-display digital panel metersWith the launch of its DATEL branded 3˝ digit DMS-30DR series, C&D Technologies claims to be first-to-market with an auto-dimming, daylight readable, LED-display digital panel meter. The large, 0.56in (14.2mm) high, super-bright red LED is readable in direct sunlight without the need for special filters or shading devices.
