FPGA test upgrade eliminates need for probes
GOEPEL electronics has extended the availability of ChipVORX model libraries for the XILINX ARTIX 7 FPGA series to support embedded test and embedded programming. ChipVORX is a technology for universal control of Chip Embedded Instruments via JTAG port. The special ChipVORX models are modular IP (Intellectual Properties), which contain all relevant access information of the target FPGA and are part of a comprehensive IP library.
Nine new models extend digitiser range
Spectrum has extended the performance of its PCIe based instruments by adding nine new models to its M4i series of digitisers. These cards can capture and analyse fast electronic signals in the DC to 1 GHz frequency range and boast real-time sampling rates up to 5 GS/s and high bandwidth making it possible for them to measure signals, edges and pulses down into the sub nanosecond realm.
Serial triggering option aids design debug
Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the RTO-K40 MIPI RFFE serial triggering and decoding option. It is solution that enables developers of RF frontends and modules with RF frontend (RFFE) control interface to verify and debug designs and put these components into operation. The R&S RTO oscilloscope with its high acquisition rates and minimal blind times is able to trigger on MIPI RFFE-specific protocol data. The decoded protocol content is dis...
Energy monitor enables measurement accuracy
Designed for DC supply rails in the 0 to 100V range, a high or low side charge, power and energy monitor has been released by Linear Technology. The LTC2946 monitor features a ±0.4% accurate, 12-bit ADC and external precision time base (crystal or clock), enabling measurement accuracy of more than ±0.6% for current and charge, and ±1% for power and energy.
DC calibrator features precision, ease of use
The new Yokogawa 2553A is a precision DC calibrator combining precision performance and ease of use for the calibration of measuring instruments including analogue meters, thermometers, temperature transmitters and data loggers. The new unit features high accuracy, high stability, low noise, and high resolution. Intuitive operation is aided by the provision of dials for each digit and switch and a clear display using traditional 7-segment LEDs.
Firmware option enhances high-speed digitisers
Keysight Technologies has introduced new signal processing firmware for its family of U53xxA PCIe digitisers. The new firmware (option -TSR) allows simultaneous capture and transfer of acquired data in triggered applications. According to Keysight’s validation measures, the digitiser’s architecture, with the new firmware, is able to sustain triggered acquisitions of thousands of samples at hundreds of kHz rates without missing any eve...
Protocol analyser meets DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 standards
SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver has been chosen by Averna as the launch pad for its DOCSIS 3.1 protocol analysis solution. Developed with major industry players and designed for both DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1, the Averna DP-1000 Protocol Analyser is used to analyse, debug, maintain and monitor local networks and Internet connections.
Power connector ensures safety on temporary connections
The Cliff Electronics QT3 is designed for use in applications including manufacturing, test and repair, calibration, measurement and burn-in where fast, safe and non-permanent connection to 3-Phase power supply is required. The Quicktest QT3 is a compact, robust 3-Phase power connector designed for temporary, safe and efficient connection of unterminated cables to 440VAC, 3-Phase power supplies. The QT3 has a maximum power rating of 16 amps per p...
Portable OTDR is robust, reliable in field conditions
The new Yokogawa AQ7280 portable OTDR (optical time-domain reflectometer) delivers a combination of measurement automation, user-friendly operation and reliable performance to enable fast, precise optical-fibre characterisation in the field. The OTDR is based on a plug-in modular design that allows it to be configured for a wide range of network environments and topologies from FTTH to metro and core networks.
Oscilloscope offers 10 GS/s sample rate on four channels
Teledyne LeCroy’s new WaveSurfer 10 oscilloscope combines the MAUI advanced user interface with powerful waveform processing, in addition to advanced math, measurement and debug tools, to quickly analyse and find the root cause of problems. Built on the WaveSurfer platform that pioneered large screen, small footprint oscilloscopes, the new oscilloscope provides a 10.4in touch screen display, high performance hardware and compact form factor...
