Oscilloscope option aids CAN FD interface protocol analysis
The Rohde & Schwarz RTx-K9 option now enables R&S RTE and R&S RTO oscilloscope users to access analysis solutions for the CAN flexible data (CAN FD) interface protocol. These interfaces are seeing increased use in automotive and industry applications due to rising data rate requirements. Introduced in 2012, the CAN FD serial bus protocol with a maximum data rate of up to 15 Mbps boosts controller area network (CAN) performance. This b...
Software suite integrated with RTOS platform
The LDRA tool suite has been fully integrated with the next generation Wind River VxWorks 7 real-time operating system (RTOS) to achieve full compliance with industry safety- and security-critical standards. The reduced overhead and support of the LDRA tool suite for a wide range of target architectures, regardless of their respective footprints, ensures that VxWorks-based systems can be built and verified faster and at lower cost.
Thin die tester meets SEMI standard
Nordson DAGE has introduced a new test method for the evaluation of die strength by means of cantilever bending where 3 point bending is not suitable for die with a thickness of less than 50 microns. Die with thickness below 50 microns tend to be very compliant, in fact so much so that it becomes virtually impossible to apply a test load.
EMC test cell supports R&D business unit
ESCATEC has established a custom designed Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing cell in its facility in Heerbrugg, Switzerland. "The EMC cell provides a radio wave free environment to test products for unintentional generation of radio waves that could cause interference," said Michael Walser, Head of Global R&D at ESCATEC.
Ultra-small photorelays reduce mounting area by 50%
Comprised of a photo MOSFET optically coupled with an infrared LED, Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced four ultra-small photorelays. The TLP3475 and TLP3440 have been designed to deal with high frequency signals; while the TLP3417 and TLP3420 are suitable for dealing with the high voltages required for signals of measured devices such as semiconductor testers.
8051 micro users get new development tool
IAR Systems has partnered with the semiconductor IP provider CAST to offer new possibilities for developers working with 8051-based applications. With the recently introduced version 9.10 of the high-performance development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051, complete tool support for CAST’s 8051 microcontrollers is available.
Dual-mode amplifier tests in 0.8GHz to 3.1GHz band
Instruments for Industry (IFI), a subsidiary of AMETEK Compliance Test Solutions, now offers a dual-mode, solid-state amplifier that combines continuous (CW) and pulse (P) operating modes. The new S31-500-900P amplifier has been optimised for performing 600 V/m radar pulse radiated immunity testing in the 0.8 GHz to 3.1 GHz band.
Compliance test software meets MHL 3 specification
Keysight Technologies has introduced compliance test software that meets the latest Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) specification. The MHL 3 source compliance test software allows engineers to test their MHL 3 transmitters the same way they are tested at official authorised MHL compliance test centres using Keysight Infiniium oscilloscopes.
Ethernet and IP tester supports Wirespeed BERT
GL Communications has released comprehensive Ethernet and IP Test Solutions using its PacketExpert product. GL's PacketExpert is a comprehensive portable (USB based) Quad Port Ethernet Tester with four Electrical Ethernet ports. Twoof the four ports can be Electrical or Optical, enabling testing on optical fibre links as well. The electrical ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps and the optical ports support 1000 Mbps using Small form-factor plugg...
Broadband phase shifters cover frequencies up to 40GHz
Link Microtek has unveiled a new range of broadband phase shifters covering microwave frequencies as high as 40GHz. Manufactured by Narda Microwave-East, the range consists of four models, all of which are ideal for use in calibration and general test-and-measurement applications in both the military and commercial sectors.
