Mainstream scopes boast capacitive touch screens
Capacitive touch screens and zone triggering have arrived in the mainstream oscilloscope market. Keysight Technologies is offering its InfiniiVision 3000T X-Series digital storage and mixed signal oscilloscopes with intuitive graphical triggering capability. The scopes help engineers overcome usability and triggering challenges and improve their problem-solving capability and productivity.
Oscilloscope portfolio features at embedded world 2015
From its Munich base Rohde & Schwarz will motor up the autobahn to the embedded world 2015 exhibition in Nuremberg bringing its complete and enhanced oscilloscope portfolio. The high definition mode increases the vertical resolution of the R&S RTO and R&S RTE digital oscilloscopes to up to 16 bits, a 256 fold improvement over the 8 bit resolution available in standard mode.
EMI receiver adapted to measure 20Hz to 3.6GHz frequency range
Keysight Technologies’ N9038A MXE EMI receiver is now available with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz. An affordable pricing of this new option addresses the needs of commercial manufacturers that perform compliance testing in their own facilities and do not require measurements at higher frequencies.
Compliance test application characterises LPDDR4 designs
Keysight Technologies introduced a complete compliance test application for systems using low-power double-data-rate 4 memory. The application gives engineers an efficient and quick way to characterise LPDDR4 designs. In addition to testing and validating designs to ensure compliance with the LPDDR4 JEDEC JESD209-1 standard, the application offers offline testing support for running signals from simulation tools like Keysight’s Advanced Des...
VarioTAP model libraries test Bay Trail processors
GOEPEL electronics has developed specific model libraries for testing and programming of Intel Bay Trail processors, which are part of the Intel Atom family. The libraries called VarioTAP models allow flexible execution of processor emulation tests using the native debug port. Users are now able to use the processor as an instrument for hardware design validation of prototypes as well as programming of Flash devices.
Video tester family extended to meet HDMI 2.0 6G
Rohde & Schwarz is expanding its video tester family to enable electrical measurements of HDMI 2.0 6G sources: the R&S VT B2380 TMDS time domain analyser. The compact sub-sampling based option features a cost/benefit ratio and gives users the advantage of carrying out "plug and measure" electrical analysis.
Boundary scan tools head to IPC Apex in San Diego
JTAG Technologies will be heading to the IPC Apex exhibition and conference in San Diego (Feb 22-26) with its boundary-scan (IEEE Standard 1149.1) products covering a broad line of software and hardware tools for test preparation, test execution, test result analysis, and in-system programming applications.
Portable PC scopes feature 200MHz bandwidth
The newly launched PicoScope 3000D Series oscilloscopes offer up to 200 MHz bandwidth, 2 or 4 analogue channels plus 16 digital channels on the mixed-signal (MSO) models, and deep memories from 64 to 512 MS. Capable of debugging the latest digital and mixed signal designs, the scopes offer a maximum real-time sampling rate of 1 GS/s and feature a USB 3.0 interface and a built-in arbitrary waveform generator (AWG).
Easy-to-use SPI system boasts 6.4TFLOPS
Vi Technology's Pi (π) SPI system has been purchased by Hunter Technology and installed in its Silicon Valley facility. In a competitive side-by-side evaluation, the Pi was the clear choice for Hunter Technology. This next-gen SPI features ease of programming, ease of maintenance, operator friendliness and automatic threshold settings.
Bringing the real world into the lab
David Hill, VP EMEA, Spirent, explains how new approaches to end-to-end testing for wireless communications can save time and money by modelling realistic test conditions even in the development stages.
