AVX Corporation has announced that its subsidiary, AVX Interconnect Europe,a limited liability company under German law, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire KUMATEC Sondermaschinenbau & Kunststoffverarbeitung (‘KUMATEC’), a limited liability company under German law. KUMATEC develops, constructs and manufactures automation equipment and processes plastic components.
DIN-rail power supplies feature internal decoupling
PULS Power has announced the availability of two new high quality Din Rail Power Supplies featuring an integrated high efficiency MOSFET based decoupling function facilitating N+1 redundant operation without an external decoupling unit or use of inefficient 'OR-ing' diodes.
2MHz Boost/SEPIC/Inverter features 2A and 100V power switch
Analog Devices has announced the Power by Linear LT8361, which is a current mode, 2MHz multitopology DC/DC converter with an internal 2A, 100V switch. It operates from an input voltage range of 2.8-60V, and is suitable for applications with input sources ranging from a single-cell Li-Ion battery to multicell battery stacks, automotive inputs, telecom power supplies and industrial power rails.
T-series designed for the ever increasing number of AC loads
As part of the STMicroelectronics’ T-series the T1635T-8I Snubberless 16A Triac, is designed for the increasing number of AC loads in appliance control applications and is available at Rutronik. The triacs are available in a ceramic-insulated TO-220AB package, which meets both immunity and high-commutation needs, offering a cost-effective solution with excellent trade-off of surge current versus immunity and commutation. The package is...
Synchronous buck converters provide low EMI performance
Automotive designers can significantly lower EMI and increase efficiency with the pin-compatible MAX20073 and MAX20074 buck converters from Maxim Integrated Products. The compact converters, which according to the company offer the industry’s lowest EMI performance for low voltage Point-of-Load applications, are suitable for automotive infotainment and ADAS applications.
The role of the modern battery in new applications
Consumer demand is driving innovation in battery technology in areas such as home automation, medical devices, military and robotics. As a result, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) need to ensure they are using the right battery for their application. That is the assertion from battery manufacturer, Accutronics in a new whitepaper released, which asks the question: what is a battery?
Modules integrate 36V buck converter and power circuitry
The LMZM33602 and LMZM33603 power modules from Texas Instruments(TI) are now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. These completely integrated 4V-36 V power module solutions combine a step-down DC-to-DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passive components in a compact, low-profile package.
