Microchip has announced a modern and flexible GUI composer tool for developing GUIs for all PIC32 MCUs through Microchip’s Harmony Configurator and MPLAB X IDE.
Wireless SoCs take aim at IoT applications
The Wireless Gecko SoCs from Silicon Labs are now in stock at Mouser Electronics. This new Wireless Gecko portfolio of ARM Cortex-M4 core-based SoCs is aimed toward wireless Internet of Things (IoT) designs and integrates a 2.4GHz radio and advanced hardware cryptography to support more secure applications. The devices are divided into three families that target specific protocols.
Kits target ARM Cortex-A73 CPUs & ARM Mali-G71 GPUs
Cadence Design Systems has announced the availability of a Rapid Adoption Kit (RAK) based on the ARM internal flow used for the design of the ARM Cortex-A73 CPU and the ARM Mali-G71 GPU that is geared toward enhancing VR and AR experiences on 2017 flagship mobile devices. During this process, Cadence and ARM also collaborated to develop a 10nm methodology using Cadence digital implementation and signoff tools.
Optimised reference implementation available for ARM Cortex-A73 processor
Synopsys has announced that early collaboration with ARM on its ARM Cortex-A73 CPU and ARM Mali-G71 GPU, targeted at a premium mobile experience, has resulted in successful early adopter tape-outs in advanced FinFET process technologies. The collaboration also delivered a Reference Implementation (RI) for Cortex-A73 with ARM Artisan standard cells, memories and ARM POP IP.
STM32F7 development boards accelerate embedded design
STMicroelectronics has released entry-level, mid-range and high-end development boards for the latest members of its STM32F7 MCU series, which are now entering volume production with up to 2MB of on-chip Flash memory and peripherals that help create rich user interfaces. Providing timely support for design starts, the development tools include a low-cost STM32 Nucleo-144 board featuring the STM32F767 variant.

NXP Semiconductors has expanded its best-in-class, low power and long range JN5169 wireless modules. The three wireless modules: JN5169_M00, JN5169_M05 and JN5169_M06, are pre-certified FCC/CE/IC and can be loaded with the latest NXP ZigBee 3.0 stack. The wireless modules with ZigBee 3.0 helps enable customers to rapidly introduce wireless products into the mass market faster.

24-bit ADC performs synchronised AC/DC signal sampling
The AD7768 24-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices is now in stock at distributor Mouser Electronics.. The 8-channel, simultaneous sampling ADC features a sigma-delta modulator and digital filter per channel, enabling the device to perform synchronised sampling of both AC and DC signals and allowing it to become a reusable platform for low-power DC and high-performance AC measurement modules.
