The future of wide colour gamut television at IFA
TCL, its subsidiary CSOT, and QD Vision have collaborated to develop a television that produces over 90% of the Rec. 2020 colour gamut standard for UHD displays. This advancement is made possible by the unique design of QD Vision's Colour IQ quantum dot technology, the leading wide colour gamut technology in the market today. The demonstration television will be on display in the TCL booth at IFA, booth 102, 21 hall.
10.1" panel comes in high-resolution colour
Varitronix has announced a recent addition to their range of high-resolution colour TFT panels. The recent panel is a 10.1” HD720 layout in 16:9 format with overall dimensions of 224x126mm (250mm approximate diagonal) and a pixel resolution of 1280x720 RGB pixels.
Touch feel technology for real button feeling
A technology for real touch feeling and force feedback in display screens has been developed by Kyocera. The development of a real button sensation is expected to create a new type of user interface. It can be used in touch panel or touch pad products for a broad range of applications such as automotive and industrial equipment or in the field of information and communications.
Eye protection is introduced to gaming monitors
AOC has announced two AMD FreeSync enabled gaming monitors with one millisecond response time and introducing the Anti-Blue Light Technology to gamers. This technology reduces harmful short-wavelength light, which is one part of the blue part of the light spectrum. While cutting out these eye-damaging light waves by more than 90%, the colour fidelity and visual depth are not reduced in any way.
MMD to exhibit IFA 2015

UV LEDs enable wider viewing angles
The LUXEON FlipChip UV LEDs range developed by Lumileds is in stock at distributor Mouser Electronics. The small ultraviolet (UV) LEDs built on FlipChip technology in a chip-scale package. These clear, 1.0mm2 LED packages feature a 5-sided emitter for wide viewing angles and high power density (W/cm2).
