LTE protocol test platform saves time, money
NextG-Com has developed a low-cost LTE protocol test platform on host compliant to 3GPP Release 11 specification. NextG-Com XANTHUS 203 tests the integrated LTE software stack for user equipment (UE) before it is ported onto a hardware platform. Incorporating an easy debugging environment, it will reduce the time and effort that would otherwise be spent on investigating and solving complex issues on a hardware platform
DSP features 3 independent displays & WiFi support
Featuring 3 independent displays and WiFi support, the DSB500-871HM digital signage player has been announced by Axiomtek. The DSP is powered by Intel Core i5 or i3 processors with the Mobile Intel HM76 Express chipset.
Collaboration enables launch of next-Gen Bluetooth Smart chips
Claiming to be the industry’s lowest power Bluetooth Smart solution, the ML7105 chip from LAPIS has been developed in collaboration with Mindtree. Mindtree's BlueLitE Bluetooth Smart IP powers the LAPIS chip, with the partnership in technology delivering a 50% reduction in average power consumption and a 2X increase in battery life for typical coin cell batteries like CR2032.
UARTs offer as much as 8x reduction in board space
Designed for the Intel LPC motherboard bus, the XR28V382 and XR28V384 UARTs have been announced by Exar. The UARTs reduce footprint while increasing data integrity and throughput by providing 28B FIFOs.
Panel PC is suited for intelligent POS applications
Designed specifically for intelligent POS applications, the Rity series has been introduced by Avalue Technology. Equipped with the latest Intel Atom Bay Trial Qual Core E3845 1.91GHz or Ceder Trail D2550 Dual Core 1.86GHz processors, the series is offered in four variants: the 8" Rity80, the 10.1" Rity100, the 12.1" Rity120 and the 15" Rity150.
SD memory cards deliver up to 100x longer data retention
Designed for TCO-optimised applications, the S-40 and S-40u Series SD and Micro SD memory cards have been made available by Swissbit. Swissbit claim that these are the first SD and Micro SD cards on the market to feature autonomous data refresh that requires no intervention by the host or application. Further to these claims, Swissbit also boast that intelligent algorithms enable the memory cards to deliver up to 100x longer data retention than c...
Hub charges & syncs up to 20 USB devices at once
Charging and syncing up to 20 USB devices simultaneously is now possible with two USB charging hubs from Powersolve. The PSUSB-10CH 10 port hub and PSUSB-20CH 20 port hub are both designed for automated duplication tasks such as programming USB memory sticks.
Connecter fulfills automotive copper cable demand
Designed to meet the increasing demand for barrier sealed copper cables across the automotive industry, the silicone-free RADOX anti-capillary cable has been launched by HUBER+SUHNER. The anti-capillary cable stops liquids in the vehicle, such as oil, water or AdBlue, being conveyed through the cable and damaging the electronics and sensors at the connected end.
Video ICs support MHL interface standard
L2Tek is selling new video ICs from Explore Microelectronics, a fabless semiconductor company based in Taiwan. Aimed at companies designing and manufacturing digital and analogue audio/video (AV) broadcast and switching equipment, the new EP9555E is a three-port low-power HDMI/MHL receiver with a video up/down scaler and CCIR 601/656 digital video output.
Embedded computer can withstand harsh outdoor environments
Based on 4th Gen Intel Core i7-4700EQ quad-core processor, the Matrix MXE-5400 fanless embedded computer has been introduced by ADLINK Technology. Retaining the Matrix series' design principles for withstanding harsh environments, it is suited for outdoor intelligent transportation, digital surveillance, security and industrial automation applications.
