Cadence Design Systems, Inc announced that QNX has ported its QNX Acoustics for Active Noise Control (ANC) software to the Cadence Tensilica HiFi Audio/Voice digital signal processing (DSP) core. The Tensilica HiFi Audio/Voice DSP from Cadence is available immediately.
Fanless low power embedded box PC for mobile computing
The BVM Group has introduced the ASRock iBOX-210, a self-contained small form factor (200x135x39mm) embedded PC that features very low power consumption, fanless operation and high performance. The iBOX-210 is available with either the E3826, J1900 or N2930 22nm Intel Atom Baytrail System on Chip dual and quad core processors with up to 4GB of DDR3 1333MHz in a single slot.
Low PIM cable assemblies for in-building DAS applications
The 4.1/9.5 (Mini) DIN connector interface is essentially a compact version of the 7/16 DIN with applications on DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and wireless infrastructure. RF Industries manufactures 4.1/9.5 (Mini) DIN male connectors and terminates them onto Times Microwave plenum rated low PIM cables SPP-250-LLPL and TFT-402-LF.
Digital isolators optimised for SPI communications
Analog Devices introduced a family of digital isolator devices optimised for serial peripheral interface (SPI) communications systems. The ADuM315x SPIsolator digital isolator family is based on ADI’s award-winning iCoupler digital isolator technology, which has been shipped in volumes exceeding one billion channels.
Low power Intel Atom-based products from Axiomtek
Axiomtek announces a variety of low power Intel Atom-based products (codename Bay Trail) from board-level to system-level solutions. These advanced platforms are optimised for power-saving applications. By adopting new Intel Atom processors, Axiomtek boards and systems offer excellent graphic performance, low power consumption and highly quality.
Fanless embedded system targets car PC applications
DFI launches the EC700-BT embedded system that supports the low-power and high-performance Intel Atom processor E3800. It is a perfect combination of impressive fashion design and excellent computing capability, bringing a new art concept to the industrial automation market. Aimed at Car PC application, you can replace the hard drive with a DC to DC Car PC module that supports ACC feature, and use mSATA for data storage support.
VadaTech announces D/A Converter in FMC format at 2.5 GSPS
VadaTech now offers a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) in the FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) format. The high-speed DAC offers 14-bit at 2.5 Giga samples per second. The FMC223 from VadaTech features a TRIG Out, CLK In, and Analog Out, along with a Multi-IO LVDS connector and status LEDs on the front panel.
IP Core performs a serial-to-parallel conversion
DCD’s UART IP Core performs a serial-to-parallel conversion on data characters received from a peripheral device or a MODEM. And for those who need more, the D16950 enables also parallel-to-serial conversion on data characters received from the CPU. The processor can read a complete status of the UART at any time during the functional operation.
Computer modules offer greater performance per watt
congatec AG has expanded its Qseven and COM Express product range with modules based on 2nd generation AMD Embedded G-Series SOC (System-on-Chip) processors. Compared to the current AMD Embedded G-Series SOC platform, they provide higher performance and a lower power draw thanks to an improved Jaguar+ CPU architecture and AMD Radeon 8000 graphics core.
Multiport 10Gb Ethernet Switch for Embedded Connectivity
Broadcom Corporation has introduced a new family of 10 Gigabit multiport Ethernet switches, adding to Broadcom's leading StrataConnect switch portfolio. Broadcom's new SoC family is designed to improve and future proof control plane and data plane connectivity by combining 1G, 2.5G, and 10G performance and diverse and flexible input/outputs (I/Os) at very low power consumption.
