One key feature of the Mean Well SPV-1500 series is that by applying a 1 - 6VDC external control, the output voltage of the SPV-1500 series can be trimmed from 20% to 120% of the rated voltage. This function greatly increases the flexibility to customers, who have applications that require a non-standard output voltage.

For applications that require even higher power, the SPV-1500 series is supplied with a parallel function that can increase the overall output wattage to 4500W. The units can also provide full output wattage even when the input voltage is 100 VAC input, this allows the SPV-1500 is to operate at full load in countries that have inputs of 100VAC or 115VAC such as USA, Japan and Taiwan.

With a 3-year warranty, the SPV-1500 series uses the innovative ZVS technology to supply up to 90% of high efficiency and 8.3W/ in3 of power density. Units are supplied with a remote ON/OFF control, 12V/0.1A auxiliary output, and alarm signal output. The SPV-1500 series uses “constant current limiting ” as the overload protection, this allows the unit to power capacitive/inductive loads and still provide full protection for customers’. In addition as the units overload protection is a constant current, it can be used in battery charging applications.

The Mean Well SPV-1500 series is supplied with worldwide safety certificates, UL, CUL, TUV, CE, and CB. Applications can include LCD panel burn-in system, IC testing equipment, telecom, datacomms, laser-carving machine, factory automation and battery charging.
