Featuring HSXGA (1280 x 480 pixels) resolution, an 8:3 wide aspect ratio and IPS (in-plane switching) wide viewing angle technology, the TX31D200VM0BAA TFT display has been launched by KOE. The 12.3-inch Rugged+ TFT display boasts excellent image performance with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a brightness of 1000cd/m².

The white LED backlight features an integrated driver circuit and a specified half-brightness lifetime of 70K hours. The transmissive TFT features a single channel 20-pin LVDS data interface which supports 6-bit RGB  and a colour palette of up to 262K colours.

Mark Stephenson, Technical Marketing Manager, KOE Europe explained, "For a range of applications where physical and mechanical constraints place restrictions on the size and type of display used, the widescreen format of the TX31D200VM0BAA could provide an ideal display solution. The 8:3 aspect ratio enables niche applications to be considered where the display could be used in either landscape or portrait mode."

The 12.3-inch display module features mechanical outline dimensions of 320mm (w) x 130mm (h) x 12.1mm and an active display area of 291.84mm (w) x 109.44mm (h). The specification of the Rugged+ display is designed to ensure consistent and guaranteed operation in harsh environments. All Rugged+ displays have robust mechanical and electrical characteristics that are highly resistant to shock, vibration and ESD (electro static discharge). Support for extreme operating environments is enhanced with a storage temperature range of -40°C to +90°C and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +80°C.

Typical applications include digital signage, retail based point-of-decision displays, consumer information systems, AV mixing desks and industrial instrumentation. The KOE 12.3-inch Rugged+ TX31D200VM0BAA TFT display module is available immediately through KOE Europe's distribution partners across Europe.
