Researchers from the University of Lisbon and the North Lisbon Hospital Center (Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte) conducted a pilot study that demonstrated how atomic force microscopy (AFM) could be used as a non-invasive diagnostic tool for chronic heart disease.
