Network appliance ensures rapid and stable deployment

Global supplier of industrial computers and network appliances, IBASE, has announced its latest FWA6706 series network appliance powered by an Intel Celeron Processor N3350 (formerly Apollo Lake). The FWA6706D is a compact yet full-featured network appliance designed with high performance and low power consumption.

It has a fanless cooling chassis with a small footprint for stable operation and suitable in applications where heat generation, noise levels and space constraints are concerns including private network, content filtering, network security gateway, and firewall.

This innovative product combines the advantages of a dual-core processor, high-speed DDR3, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA III and USB 3.0 and other rich interface in a size smaller than a B5-size compartment. This model comes with a 40W power adaptor and dimensions of 227x142x44mm.

The FWA6706R is an entry-level network appliance in a 1U-rackmount form factor, with a smart fan solution. It ensures rapid and stable deployment in network environments for small to medium-sized enterprises. Both models support 6x GbE ports and a pair of advanced LAN bypass function that allows for uninterrupted operation of a serial network and prevents node failure on the network in the case of power failure.

Measuring 438x180x44mm, the FWA6706R is built with a full-range 65W open-frame power supply and a programmable LCM display.

Key features:

  • Intel Celeron Processor N3350, Dual-Core 1.1GHz
  • 2x DDR3L SO-DIMMs; Max. 16GB (non-ECC)
  • 6x PCI-E GbE ports; 1x advanced LAN Bypass pair
  • 1x Mini PCI-E slot
  • 1x CF slot.
