A panel PC from Datasound Laboratories is IP65 rated both front and back to withstand the harshest and wettest of conditions in a wide variety of industrial, consumer and leisure applications.
The LAN, two USB 2.0 Ports, one PS/2 Port and DC power connections are made through IP65 rated connectors which gives them total protection against liquid and airborne ingress from any direction. Powered by an Intel Pentium / Celeron M CPU (up to 1.7GHz) the computer has ample processing power to cope with most applications.

Total protection means no ventilation holes, so thermal management is achieved through the use of a specially designed heat pipe which channels the internal heat to the housing itself which acts as a radiator for external dissipation.

Storage options of either CompactFlash or 2.5 HDD permit either a desktop O/S (i.e. XP Pro), a truly embedded O/S such as XP Embedded (free custom image creation for new projects) or any other desired x86 operating system.

Available in 15”, 17” and soon 19”screen sizes, with or without touchscreen functionality, the fanless, silent, slimline (65mm deep) Panel PC unit is designed for fit and forget applications in the food and drink processing, automotive, marine, chemical and medical industries.
