Door enclosures offer long-term IP65 protection
Door enclosures, designed to provide long-term protection, have been released by Hylec-APL’s manufacturing arm, DE Controls. To ensure that the sealing withstands shutting without losing integrity, the enclosures feature liquid gasket seals which provide IP65 protection. Featuring ABS with wall thicknesses of up to 3.5mm, the door enclosures offer an impact resistance of IK08.
The enclosures can also provide protection from continual exposure to external conditions, even in marine applications, as ABS is non-corrosive. Easy installation is enabled through external wall brackets and an internal galvanised steel back plate, both of which can be used without compromising the overall IP rating of the enclosures. Suitable applications include industrial control and automation, HVAC and lighting.
Reducing purchase costs, Hylec-APL offers the door enclosures with a galvanised steel back plate, external mounting brackets and a lock and key as standard. The enclosures are offered in eight sizes and with a blank or transparent (polycarbonate) door.
