Schroff has introduced a new series of desktop cases that are supplied fully configured for use in PXI-based test and measurement applications. Using the proven technology of Schroff’s ratiopacPRO case, the new PXI complete systems are available in a choice of four versions designed to accommodate 8, 14, 18 or 21 PXI boards.
These shielded 4U-high systems comply with the IEEE 1101 specification for mechanical hardware and are equipped with 3U PXI backplanes conforming to the PICMG 2.0 R3.0 cPCI core standard.
In line with this standard, the backplanes are designed with the system slots on the left and can therefore be extended with pluggable 64bit PXI bridges without loss of slots.

All the systems are hot-swap compatible and incorporate internal/external clock switching, controllable fan cooling, an efficient ATX or open-frame power supply, an external on/off switch and LED indicators for displaying operating voltage. Hinged front feet are included as standard, and the systems can also be provided with 19in. mounting brackets for installation into a rack or cabinet.

Available from stock, the PXI complete systems are supplied fully assembled, wired and tested. In addition, Schroff can carry out modifications and build customer-specific configurations on request.
