Test system covers uplink carrier aggregation
The R&S TS8980FTA-2 test system from Rohde & Schwarz is the only conformance test system that offers validated test cases in all relevant GCF TDD band combinations for Uplink Carrier Aggregation (CA UL). Manufacturers of mobile user equipment and chipsets as well as test houses can use this to verify their CA UL implementation in accordance with the test specification 3GPP TS 36.521-1.
The LTE-Advanced feature 2 Component Uplink Carrier Aggregation allows to utilise two carriers for transmission in uplink to increase the transmission bandwidth and consequently the data rate.
