At embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg, RIGOL Technologies announced a significant addition to its UltraVision II family of oscilloscopes with the introduction of the MSO8000 Series Digital Oscilloscope. The core of the Rigol’s UltraVision II architecture is its Phoenix chip-set.
Two custom ASICs provide analogue front end and signal processing performance. These chips are surrounded by a high performance hardware design including Xilinx Zync-7000 SoC, Dual Core ARM-9 Processors, a Linux +Qt Operating System, High Speed DDR System Memory and QDRII Display memory.
With bandwidths from 600MHz and 1GHz (optional bandwidth upgrade to 2GHz) and a maximum sampling rate of 10GS/s, the MSO8000 series is ideally suited for high speed and instantaneous signal acquisition and analysis.
Typical applications include automated testing in factories, serial bus protocol analysis in automotive electronics, electronic circuit measurement, switching power measurement and analysis in the power field and many more.
All devices feature a 10.1in. capacitive colour touch screen with 256 intensity levels and colour grade for precise and clear signal presentation.
For the acquisition and processing of large data sets, a storage depth of up to 500MPts is available for all channels. The waveform update rate up to 600,000wfms/s allows up to 450k frames real-time waveform record and playback.
A digital oscilloscope, a logic analyser, a spectrum analyser, an arbitrary waveform generator, a digital voltmeter, a frequency counter and totaliser, and a protocol analyser complete the entire measuring range (7-in-1 device).
Various interfaces such as USB Host, USB Device, HDMI, LAN, USB-GPIB, and AUX OUT are available.
