A PhotoMultiplier Tube (PMT) module that offers wide dynamic range for applications such as chemiluminescence measurement and semiconductor inspection has been introduced by Hamamatsu Photonics.

The H13126 PMT can simultaneously obtain outputs from two separate systems in a single measurement; one for weak light from single photon counting and the other for strong light such as analogue measurements. This enables the device to continuously measure wide-ranging light conditions with no time lag between the two types of measurement. The module will be combined as a set with the recently developed C12918 interface unit. Samples of this set will be available to instrument manufacturers from the 1st June 2015 with sales production beginning in October 2015.

From 13th to 15th May 2015, the H13126 will be on display at PMEX Japan 2015, an international exhibition and conference on personalised medicine and diagnostics to be held at the Tokyo Big Sight convention centre.
