eMBMS demo lined up for Mobile World Congress
Anritsu and Sequans are presenting a live demonstration of eMBMS, or LTE Broadcast technology at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The demonstration will be made at Anritsu’s booth, and will show a Sequans LTE-powered tablet connected to the Anritsu MD8430A/RTD development test environment. Together, these will showcase the performance and capability of eMBMS as an LTE technology.
GPIB interface enhances control in multi-channel power supplies
Keithley Instruments has added two multi-channel power supplies with GPIB interfaces to its line of programmable DC power supplies. The new models address the need for greater control and communication flexibility in both R&D and production test applications, which GPIB interfaces can provide. Both the Model 2220G-30-1 dual-channel and 2230G-30-1 triple-channel power supplies combine greater output accuracy and lower prices.
Single box solution covers LTE-WLAN test needs
Rohde & Schwarz has developed a compact, configurable single-box solution for testing the various aspects of LTE-WLAN traffic offload. Based on the R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester, the multistandard platform not only tests the terminal equipment of all common wireless communications standards, it also emulates an appropriate connection for a WLAN test. Rohde & Schwarz uses this feature for its single-box solution for t...
Improved phase noise enhances signal generators
Aeroflex has enhanced its S-Series signal generators (SGA and SGD) with improved phase noise and better RF level accuracy. At a carrier frequency of 1GHz, phase noise is now improved by 6dB at frequency offsets from 100kHz to 1MHz, giving a figure of typically -140 dBc/Hz between these offsets. The S-Series does this while maintaining the frequency settling time of 100µs.
Pico-ITX SBC is suited for use in vehicle PCs
Powered by the most advanced 4th Generation Intel Core technology, Axiomtek have announced the PICO880, a high-performance and extremely compact SBC. It is suitable for vehicle PCs, small media entertainment systems, industrial automation systems, medical imaging, gaming and small electronic devices customers.
High power contacts offer current ratings up to 150A
Now available in the UK from the Peak Group are a range of high power contacts for the Mass InterConnect systems produced by Virginia Panel Corporation (VPC). Designed for use in high power testing, the new contacts offer current ratings up to 150 A. Rapid connection is ensured when the contacts are installed in VPC’s iCon and i1 high power InterConnect solutions, with six contacts possible in the iCon and four in the i...
Embedded World 2014: IAR to stage free seminars
IAR Systems is once again presenting technical seminars during the Embedded World exhibition and conference in Nuremberg later this month (Feb 25-27). Focus on Your Code is the headline topic for a series of non-stop, 20 minute, free technical seminars. The seminar schedule will be the same on all three days.
Radar signal generator adds to military test arsenal
New from Link Microtek is a portable radar signal generator that is specifically designed for military applications in field or maritime environments, where it can be used for either testing radar receivers or training operators in object detection and recognition and electronic warfare. Manufactured by Ace Wavetech, the Multiple Radar Signal Simulator replicates real radar signal characteristics such as frequency, phase, pulse, modulation and sc...
