Burster, the German measurement technology specialist represented in the UK by Ixthus Instrumentation, has released a series of instructional videos that show configuration and application examples for its DIGIFORCE 9311 force and displacement controller and the 9250/51 series transducer amplifier and bus controller.

The videos detail sensor channel set-up and recording for X/Y curve; curve elevation using the example of pass-through window, block window, trapezoid and threshold; curve evaluation using the example of an envelope; and sensor channel configuration and import using Burster´s TEDS software.

Burster's DIGIFORCE 9311 force and displacement controller is aimed at continuous sensor monitoring and test applications such as friction and torque monitoring for press-fit insertion, haptic pressure testing, jointing process evaluation, rivet testing, spring testing and more. The intuitive controller features a 3.5" colour touchscreen display and 16 pre-set measurement programs plus menu tools to quickly configure process parameters. With automatic sensor recognition from Burster TEDS configuration software, the 9311 also features synchronous logging of measurement data using DigiControl PC software for multichannel applications.

Burster´s DIGIFORCE 9311 force and displacement controller Burster´s 9250 sensor amplifier provides single or combined measurement of bridge, potentiometer, voltage and digital transducers for force, pressure, displacement, rotational speed, and torque.

The amplifier is sensor manufacturer independent and features automatic sensor recognition for fast and simple set-up. The amplifier may be combined with the 9251 bus controller for synchronous export of up to 8 modules/measurement channels for Ethernet based fieldbuses including PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or I/O interfacing - facilitating sensor data transmission to PLCs and other machine controllers where they can be combined, monitored and linked efficiently to other processes.
