Feeling peckish? Try a tortilla drone

Ah, the humble tortilla. Great with guacamole, salsa or… a drone? Tired of resigning crashed drones to the recycle bin, Peter Sripol, a maker in Ohio, has used tortillas as a structural element for an RC glider.

Sripol ran a number of tests, rolling, pinning, and gluing the tortillas together until he got his glider to fly. Why? Because tortillas are pretty tasty.

While the plane-shaped drones may not have worked very well, they certainly made for a delicious snack when they inevitably crashed.

It beats seeing plastic everywhere, motors whizzing and failing and/or a camera flinging off and into the surrounding area. Keep watching the video to witness a flying wing tortilla drone lifted by a traditional drone and dropped.

Perhaps the most obvious solution - this let the tortilla soar free as its original maker intended. Fly free, tortilla.
