EXFO announces the launch of the TravelHawk Pro, the market’s only portable instrument designed for live LTE networks. This unique troubleshooting solution brings unprecedented functionalities to the field as it analyzes millions of LTE sessions over an entire LTE/EPC network. With the recent global deployment of LTE networks, operators are confronted with significant challenges when performing on-site troubleshooting of live LTE networks.
Success of a deployment depends on the operator’s ability to gain complete network visibility, troubleshoot any potential service disruption and optimize the quality of customer experience. When resolving customer issues, time is of the essence so being able to effectively troubleshoot on-site can drastically reduce the mean time to repair and make the difference between losing customers and gaining market share.

Thanks to its advanced capturing and performance analysis capabilities, EXFO’s TravelHawk Pro can simultaneously connect to all interfaces surrounding live mobility management entities and gateways to provide complete network visibility to the network operators. Furthermore, TravelHawk Pro can detect any commonly used application such as Skype, Facebook, FTP, e-mail and VoLTE, and correlate the data for complete LTE-network signaling analysis. This provides the unique ability to address the subscriber-related issues with LTE signaling, as well as the customer experience with the user-plane traffic.

“EXFO’s TravelHawk Pro has quickly proven to be an unmatched field-testing solution, as three of the top five LTE network operators worldwide have already selected it to troubleshoot and optimize their networks’ performance,” said Étienne Gagnon, Vice-President of EXFO’s Test and Measurement Division. “The TravelHawk Pro has demonstrated its ability to handle huge amounts of data on the world’s largest LTE network, and to perform a comprehensive analysis of network signaling and application issues, which greatly contributes to shortening the resolution time.”
