Measurement Computing Corporation, the market leader in low-cost data acquisition, has announced the release of a brand new version of Measurement Studio designed specifically to support Measurement Computing hardware.
At last, engineers and scientists who use Visual Studio .NET and appreciate the high quality and friendly pricing of Measurement Computing hardware can avail themselves of the power and efficiency that Measurement Studio brings to DAQ programming. They can now “Turn Visual Studio into an Engineering Workbench” using their favorite MCC hardware.

Measurement Studio is an integrated suite of measurement and automation controls, tools, and class libraries for Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio .NET 2003, and Visual Studio 6.0.

“It’s about time,” commented Bill Kennedy, Measurement Computing’s vice president of sales. “I’m not just talking about the time it has taken to develop Measurement Studio for use with MCC boards. It’s also the time engineers can save using Measurement Studio .NET user interface controls, instead of developing and maintaining their own custom controls. Time that can be used to take more measurements, time to perform more sophisticated analyses, and time to prepare more professional presentations and reports.”

Measurement Studio Measurement Computing Edition dramatically reduces application development time through object-oriented measurement hardware interfaces, advanced analysis libraries, scientific user interface controls for Windows applications, wizards, interactive code designers, and highly extensible .NET classes. It can be used to develop complete measurement and automation applications that includes all the data acquisition, analysis, and presentation functionalities.

The Measurement Studio Measurement Computing Edition CDs includes separate, parallel sets of Measurement Studio class libraries and support documentation for developing with Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Visual Studio 2005.

System requirements:

• Microsoft Windows 2000/XP

• Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 for Visual Studio .NET 2003 or Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 for Visual Studio 2005

• Standard, Professional, Enterprise Developer, Enterprise Architect, or Academic edition of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (required to use the Measurement Studio integrated tools) or Visual C#, Visual Basic, or Visual C++ Express Editions of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

Measurement Computing Corporation is the data acquisition market leader in the design and manufacture of low-priced, computer-based, test and measurement hardware and software. Numerous hardware product offerings for analog input, analog output and digital I/O devices support USB, Ethernet, PCI, ISA, PCMCIA, and PC/104 buses. Serial and GPIB interfaces along with remote dataloggers complete the DAQ and Test & Measurement offerings. Software solutions for the programmer and non-programmer alike are offered as well as drivers for popular graphical programming languages like LabVIEW.
