Byte Paradigm sprl has upgraded the specifications of its entry-level Digital Pattern Generator.
From September 1st 2011, Wave Generator Xpress will be delivered with a large 8 MB internal memory buffer and will support digital pattern generation up to 100 MHz.

With this upgrade, digital electronics engineers now have 500 times more memory for storing digital vectors and 2 times the speed of the previous model for pattern generation.

Wave Generator Xpress allows cycle-accurate 1 to 16 bit-wide digital pattern generation. It supports 1.5V to 3.3V LVCMOS I/O standards. This USB 2.0 device is controlled from PC with 8PI Control Panel software, which includes graphical user interface, TCL/tk scripting environment and a free C/C++ API, allowing more complex and automated testing.

'Every digital electronics engineer should have a digital pattern generator' Frederic Leens, Sales & Marketing Manager at Byte Paradigm says. 'Scopes and logic analyzers are really common on the engineer's desk today. As a source of stimulus for ASIC, SoC, FPGA and other digital embedded systems, WG Xpress is their natural companion. At a price tag below 700 USD, Wave Generator Xpress is a valuable and cost-effective asset for all companies involved in embedded system design. Now this price means deep and fast digital pattern runs'.
