AC-DC converters are cost-effective for time sensitive projects

Lead times are crucial to manage the production cycle effectively. Particularly in high demand applications, getting to market first can make all the difference to a project’s success or failure.

Relec Electronics has added the LM series of AC-DC converters from Mornsun to its portfolio. The cost-sensitive converters are available at lead times as low as eight weeks.

They are designed for cost- and time-sensitive market sectors, such as IT, network, audio-visual (AV) and household appliances, IoT devices, building control as well as industrial power systems, such as control and automation, machinery and instrumentation.

The AC-DC converters are available in a choice of six power ranges, 15, 25, 35, 50, 75 and 100W and with regulated outputs from 5.0 to 48V.

The LM15, LM25, LM35, LM50, LM75 and LM100 all have a universal input from 85V to 305Vac and comply to EN55032 class B for EMC. 

They also have low output, low noise and low ripple and have a low standby power of <0.5W for energy-efficiency.

The rugged AC-DC converters operate in a wide ambient temperature range of -30 to +70°C under convection cooling conditions. They can also withstand 5G vibration and altitudes up to 5,000m.

They are approved to international safety standards including EN/UL61558-1 (industrial safety for power supplies and transformers), EN/UL62368-1 (IT and AV equipment) and EN/UL60335 (household appliances).

All models have 4000Vac input to output isolation and are designed around input over-voltage category (OVC) III.  

All models in the LM series are supplied with perforated cases and terminal covers and are covered by a three-year manufacturer’s warranty. 

Conformal coating is available as an option, with other customisation options available on request.
