Due to their compact dimensions the miniaturised pressure sensors, which are available in multiple variants, can be used in various applications in confined spaces. They are suitable for the measurement of static and dynamic pressure in non-corrosive gases and even in liquids, if they are used for relative pressure measurements. Possible applications are industrial process control, medical instrumentation and HVAC applications.

The high accuracy sensors from the AMS 6916 series combine a high quality piezoresistive pressure sensing element with modern digital signal conditioning in a compact DIL-package with horizontal or vertical pressure ports. At a supply voltage of five volts and a maximum current consumption of three milliamps the sensors provide an amplified, ratiometric output voltage of 0.5 to 4.5V.

The AMS 6916 are calibrated and temperature compensated throughout their complete operating temperature range of -25 to 85°C. They feature a low total error (TEB less than 1%FSO for pressure ranges >= 20 mbar) in the temperature range of zero to 60°C as well as an excellent long term stability. Furthermore the sensors offer additional diagnostic functions.

The pressure sensors from the AMS 6916 series are available for all pressure types and in various pressure ranges: Differential and relative pressure sensors are offered in pressure ranges from 5 mbar up to 1 bar, bidirectional differential pressure sensors, which are able to measure positive and negative pressure, for -5 to 5 mbar up to -1 to 1 bar and absolute pressure sensors for zero to one bar as well as a barometric variant for 700 to 1200 mbar.

Custom specific pressure ranges and further modifications of the AMS 6916 series are possible on request.
