The release of the most advanced transmission speed sensor family members, complete with ASIL B certification has been announced by Allegro MicroSystems Europe. The A19520, A19530, and A19570 magnetic sensor ICs are the product of nearly 20 years of application-specific experience and technological advancement- including GMR and Hall effect technology- making them suitable for meeting the demanding requirements of today’s transmission ...
Simplifying image signal processing for sensors
Provider of innovative image and video processing technologies, intoPIX, presented the new TICO-RAW technology at CES, which aims to drastically simplify the way we deal with image sensor video data. Thanks to the technology’s innovative low-complexity processing and coding, the full power of the image sensor is preserved while significantly reducing the transmission bandwidth, power-consumption and storage needs.
How to develop navigation sensor solutions for drones
The OpenIMU solution from ACEINNA consists of three key parts. First is a family of Inertial Measurement Units consisting of three high-accuracy accelerometers, three high-accuracy gyros, and a powerful ARM Coretex. Zoom in on OpenIMU and OpenIMU CAN Second is an OpenSource tool chain and reference code for programming the IMU.
Virtual touchscreen on every surface for smart homes
At CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bosch Sensortec announced the BML100PI, an Interactive Projection Module that enriches smart homes with a virtual touchscreen on every surface, turning ordinary shelves into personal assistants. The BML100PI module provides a complete, ready-to-use solution for interactive projection, enabling highly flexible virtual touchscreens.
I2C interface added to co2 sensor for easier implementation
The IoT is creating many new exciting application opportunities to create smart environments where sensors monitor for changes so that the appropriate actions can be taken. The fastest growing examples of this are HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), IAQ (Indoor Air Quality), smart homes and smart offices where a network of sensors monitors temperature and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels to ensure the optimal conditionals are maintained w...
Robust, highly flexible ultrasonic sensors
The new range of robust and flexible ultrasonic sensors from Baumer for distance measurement and object detection aim to set high standards for process reliability and longevity in ultrasonic sensor technology. They are available in 2two designs; the cubical U500 and cylindrical UR18 with both options characterised by a robust housing and hermetically sealed sensor elements to ensure they can withstand extreme environments.
