The commitment Carrier Europe are showing to support the drive for lower global warming refrigerant solutions, is reflected in the Carrier AquaEdge 19XR water-cooled centrifugal chillers, 23XR water-cooled screw chillers and AquaForce 30KA/XA/XB air-cooled screw and 30XW/HX water-cooled screw chillers can be used with both R-134a as well as lower global warming potential (GWP) options including HFOs and blends such as R450A and R513A.

“Our customers rely on Carrier for quality, reliability and predictability and they will be pleased to know our AquaEdge 19XR and 23XR water-cooled chillers along with our AquaForce 30KA/XA/XB air-cooled and 30XW/HX water-cooled chillers are able to transition from R-134a to lower GWP options including HFOs and blends such as R450A and R513A at the same time we pursue development of other low global warming refrigerant alternatives,” said Fabrice Denninger, Senior Director, Sales, Service and Marketing Europe.

“We believe R-134a will continue to provide the best combination of availability, cost, performance and safety for many years to come. The ability to convert our R-134a chillers to other refrigerants provides owners and facility managers even greater options that ensure the full useful life of this chiller,” Denninger added.
