Open frame power supplies deliver up to 1000W
Mumbai-based EOS Power presented its first open frame power supplies at electronica 2018, in Munich. The German owned company, based in India, adds a versatile range to its medical portfolio.
The VPS600/1000 1U supplies are packaged in a standard 5.0 x 8.5 x 1.6-inch (127 x 216 x 40.6mm). They can deliver 600 to 1000W output, depending on the configuration.
They can be modified and are available in versions for industrial, ICT and medical applications, up to Class II /BF.
They are versatile, with a broad output spectrum, which is achieved by various cooling modes, namely convection cooling, convection cooling with internal cooling, or convection cooling with additional fan.
This allows for parallel operation of several devices in a variety of applications and for a choice of sizes to meet cost and performance requirements.
Efficiency rates are up to 94% and MTBF is over 1.28 million hours. Other features include a power-fail signal and easily modified anchors and cable terminals. For safety, there is dual fusing and a thermal shutdown guarantee.
Prototypes are available now from all distribution partners as well as directly from the company.
The VPS joins the WLC550 series which offers three cooling options and which can be integrated horizontally, vertically or overhead.
