Vicor Corporation announces three new videos in its Power Techtorial series, which will be available in a new Learning Zone on the Vicor Europe website that provides on-demand solutions to common power design challenges as well as offering self-assessment tools that ensure engineers have understood key topics. Development of training materials is driven by engineers submitting requests through the website, ensuring that the training addresses real-life power electronics challenges. The Techtorials can be accessed at www.vicoreurope.com/techtorials.
The site provides on-demand access to educational videos and archived webcasts, as well as linking to white papers and other technical resources. Vicor has also created three new training videos: EMI: How to Get the Lowest Noise, Thermal and Mechanical Considerations and Paralleling DC-DC Converters - Current Sharing. All three topics were requested through the Vicor website by engineers working in the field of power electronics. Users of the Learning Zone can also request copies of the new Power Techtorial videos on CD-ROM.

Uniquely Vicor offers a self-assessment tool for all training offered in the Learning Zone. The tools ensure engineers have understood the key elements of the training courses, and a personal log-in allows them to track their progress through Vicor’s curriculum.

To encourage further learning, Vicor will also award Amazon vouchers each month to one registered user, who will be drawn at random from engineers who video a Power Techtorial and successfully complete at least one new self-assessment test in the previous month.

All training materials can be accessed without the need for registration or log-in at www.vicoreurope.com/techtorials.
