Intersil have today unveiled a new series of ultra-low dropout linear regulators that delivers the industry’s lowest full-load dropout voltage. Intersil’s ISL80111, ISL80112 and ISL80113 are specified for 1A, 2A and 3A output currents, and are optimized for precision low voltage regulation.
Each includes a very low resistance NMOS pass transistor, and the ISL80113 can deliver an ultra-low 75mV dropout voltage at 3A. The devices’ 1.6% output voltage accuracy, 80dB power supply rejection ratio and 100uVrms noise result in exceptional output voltage regulation. The LDO regulators also deliver best-in-class transient response, minimizing the amount of output capacitance.

All three LDOs have identical footprints, giving designers flexibility with load current demands that often change during product development.

Features and Specifications:
-1.6% output voltage accuracy across all operating conditions
-Only 10uF output capacitance required versus up to 100uF with competing products
-Vin range of 1V to 3.6V and Vout of 0.8V to 3.6V optimized for low voltage conversions

Pricing and Availability:
The ISL80111, ISL80112 and ISL80113 are available now in compact 10-lead, 3mm x 3mm DFN packages, with prices starting at $0.99 each for the 1A, ISL80111, $1.32 each for the 2A ISL80112, and $1.65 for the 3A ISL80113 product in 1,000-unit quantities.
