TDK-Lambda has announced the introduction of the iDQ series of 10A, 48VDC nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters are suited for use with DC/DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving PCB space. Rated for a maximum voltage of 75VDC, the iDQ has a differential mode attenuation of 63dB at 300kHz measured with a 50Ω source and load impedance.

The compact iDQ filter measures just 50x15x10.8mm and will operate without forced air cooling in ambient temperatures from -40 to +85°C.

Utilising TDK component technology, system level compliance to FCC and CISPR is made easier. A pin is provided for the addition of extra capacitance to further enhance common mode performance. The iDQ has 1500VDC isolation from ground; enabling operation in systems where the ground is connected to either the positive or negative input.
