The series has a high average efficiency of typically 89%, measured at 25, 50, 75 and 100% load, and exceeds the power supply energy efficiency requirements stipulated by the Level VI specification. With certification for both the internationally recognised IT and medical safety standards, EN/UL 60950-1 and ANSI/AAMI/EN 60601-1, and offering 2 x MOPP isolation, the unit can aid the end product gaining safety approvals. The class II is approved for medical applications only.

Sealed in a slim IP32 environment rated enclosure measuring just 22x140x71mm, the supply is protected against ingress of foreign objects and liquids. With the full output power available up to + 40ºC, the AJM90 can operate in environments from 0 to + 60ºC with output power derating to 50% at 60ºC.

Meeting the Level B EN55011 standard for both radiated and conducted emissions, the unit also meets the stringent immunity requirements of the latest 4th edition medical EMC standards.
