New, higher power models have been added to TDK's PH-A280 series of high voltage input DC/DC converters. Capable of operating from 200-425VDC, these 300W output power modules are suitable for use in data centres, telecommunications and renewable energy applications utilising a 380V nominal high voltage DC bus. The four new models are rated at 12V 25A, 24V 12.5A, 28V 10.8A and 48V 6.3A. This extends the existing 50-150W PH-A280 product range of 3.3, 5, 12, 24, 28 and 48V outputs.

The 300W models have a greater adjustment range of -60 to 20% to accommodate non-standard voltages.

Following the industry standard half-brick package (61.0x12.7x57.9mm), the 300W units, with efficiencies up to 92%, can provide full load with -40 to 100°C baseplate temperatures. The converters can also be conduction cooled making them suitable for use in sealed outdoor enclosures or liquid cooled applications.

All PH-A280 modules have a standard feature set, including a five-year warranty, remote on-off, and over-current and over-voltage protection. The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000VAC and safety certified to IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
