A low-voltage CMOS logic family, available in QFN and TSSOP 20-pin packages, has been expanded with the addition of octal devices. Thirteen 8-channel logic parts, from Diodes Inc, have been introduced, suitable for data bus applications in a wide range of consumer electronics and data communication products.

Octal logic funtions including buffer/line drivers, transceivers, latches and flip-flops has been added to the 74LVC family. Boasting a 1.65V to 3.6V power supply range, the devices function as drop-in replacements for existing industry-standard parts and support both legacy and mini cell-backed product designs.

The devices are able to operate comfortably in mixed voltage environments thanks to inputs tolerant of voltages up to a maximum of 5.5V. Designers are offered the flexibility of power-down isolation via integral IOFF circuitry for all devices, allowing for the disabling of output in power-down mode to protect against harmful current backflow.

Priced at $0.082 each, the logic devices are offered in single reel quantities of 2.5k.
