The TM81 Fx-RA from knitter-switch is a key addition to its illuminated pushbutton family. It is a new side-operated, long travel switch designed to suit a wide variety of applications. According to knitter-switch, TM 81 Fx-RA switches are ideal for use in industrial and medical instrumentation, communications infrastructure applications and in computing and network hardware.
The TM 81 Fx-RA switch has an actuation force of 400gf and combines a long travel characteristic with true tactile feeling and an audible click. These features are particularly useful in low ambient light, industrial and noisy environments where operators require positive feedback of successful switch operation.

Illuminated by a single or bi-colour LED, the TM 81 Fx-RA is mechanically stable when installed thanks to integral fixing posts and through-hole-mounting. The new switch features gold-plated contacts and a wide operating temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC.
