Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has launched a new range of surface mount miniature Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillators (OCXO) offering the best frequency stability from a quartz IT cut crystal.

The OC51T series offers frequencies from 10 to 40MHz in a 9.7x7.5x4.1mm miniature SMD 4-pad package with 3.3 and 5.0V supply voltage options.

With voltage control as standard, OC51T OCXOs deliver frequency stability of ±20ppb (parts per billion) maximum making them suitable for use in applications requiring accurate timing signals including radio transmitters, cellular base stations, military communications equipment and for precision frequency measurement.

Frequency stability versus temperature is ±10ppb over -30 to +70°C and ±20ppb over -40 to +85°C. Against voltage change, stability is ±10ppb for a ±5% input voltage change. Warm up time of five minutes maximum results in frequency output within ±0.1ppm of reference frequency while frequency stability against ageing is ±3.0ppb maximum after 30 days, ±600ppb maximum first year and ±3ppm maximum over ten years.

Voltage control specifications allow greater than ±5% reference to nominal frequency at 25°C and over operating temperature range. Control voltage range is +1.65V, ±1.65V.

Additional specifications include 7ns maximum rise and fall time (20-80% of waveform), output load of 15pF, duty cycle of 50% ±5%, power dissipation of 0.4W with 350mA current at turn on. Initial calibration tolerance is 500ppb maximum.
