Fairview Microwave has announced a comprehensive line of RF circulators and isolators for use in radar systems, wireless communications, DAS, test labs and amplifier systems where sensitive RF equipment would require protection from reflected signals.

The two-port RF isolators are passive ferrite devices that aid in the protection of sensitive RF components from excessive power reflection. Designed with connectorised packages with SMA, Type-N or 2.92mm connectors, Fairview’s RF isolators operate in select frequency bandwidths between 175MHz and 40GHz, depending on the specific model. Several isolators exhibit high minimum isolation levels of 20dB, insertion loss as low as 0.35dB and maximum power ratings up to 1,000W.

Fairview’s RF circulators are three-port passive ferrite devices that circulate the flow of energy from each port to its clockwise adjacent port. Circulators are also unidirectional and control the signal direction and flow inside of an RF circuit. These circulators are designed with SMA or Type-N connectors and operate in select frequency bandwidths between 175MHz and 26.5GHz. Similar to the isolators, several devices exhibit high minimum isolation levels of 20dB, insertion loss down to of 0.35dB and operate up to 1,000W maximum power.

Brian McCutcheon, General Manager, Fairview Microwave, comments: “Our new offering of RF circulators and isolators offers our customers a comprehensive selection of more than 50 protective ferrite devices that can be used in a broad spectrum of RF applications."
