The RoHS compliant V590ME09-LF VCO, from Z-Communications, features excellent phase noise and low power consumption, making it well suited for microwave radio and test equipment applications that require low phase noise performance. The oscillator operates over the frequency range of 850-1050MHz within 0.5-5.0V of tuning, with an average tuning gain of 63MHz/V.

Designed to deliver +5.5dBm of output power into a 50Ω load, this unmatched VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -100dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset, drawing only 15mA of current from a 15V DC supply.

The low-cost, high-performance oscillator operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -20 to +70ºC and features a typical second harmonic suppression of -13dBc.

Housed in a MINI-14S package measuring 0.5x0.5x0.22", the V590ME09-LF is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements, making it suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
