RFMW announces design and sales support for a broadband gain block with differential output.

The Qorvo QPA9124 gain block offers a 50 Ω single-ended input to 100 Ω differential output allowing direct interface with transceiver ADCs, thereby eliminating the need for a discrete balun.

It is well suited for receive path gain stages in 5G m-MIMO BTS and is optimized for 3 to 5 GHz applications.

With 20.5 dB of small signal gain and 34.5 dBm output 3rd order intercept (OIP3), the gain block has excellent gain flatness of 0.5 dB over any 400 MHz bandwidth and a CMRR of 35 dB.

Housed in a compact 2 X 2 mm SMT package, the amplifier features a shut-down function for power-down control.
