Stepper motors reduce vibration and heat generation
A family of stepper motors that deliver 10% higher torque than currently available alternatives but produce 3dB(A) less noise with significantly reduced vibration and heat generation has been introduced by EAO. Improvements in motor efficiency has enabled manufacturer Sanyo Denki to boost the torque of its new SanmotionSF24 Series of 42mm stepper motors by 10% compared to current equivalent sized alternatives but with 15% lower inertia.
Solid-state relays use SCR output to add reliability
Now available in Europe through TTI are CX series SIP solid-state relays from Sensata that are ideally suited for high density PCB applications where a maximum of 5A of current is required. The components utilise a back-to-back SCR output which provides added reliability in commercial and heavy industrial applications.
Terminal blocks feature PUSH IN connection technology
The extended A range of Wedimuller’s Klippon Connect terminal blocks expands Conrad Business Supplies portfolio of electromechanical solutions for control cabinet design. The terminal blocks now feature the PUSH IN connection technology.
Tiny footprint relays featuring fast operate times
The reed relay company, Pickering Electronics, has announced a very small reed relay. The Series 124 is part of Pickering’s new ultra-high density 4mm2 reed relay range product line, which takes up the minimum board area of only 4x4mm, allowing the highest packing density possible.
Low voltage blower fans target high-density equipment
A series of small, low voltage blower fans that deliver a static pressure of 1950P (max.) and an airflow of 111m3 /hour (max.) at a rated speed of 8200 rpm are available from EAO. Developed by Sanyo Denki, the San Ace 9BMC blower fan measures just 97mm by 33mm but delivers the cooling performance and low noise requirements demanded by high-density equipment such as Servers, PSUs, fuel cells and air-con units.
Emergency stop switch with lighted options
Designed to meet the needs of handheld device manufacturers, RAFI has increased its offering of Emergency Stop switches (E-Stop) with its new Active/Inactive lighted options, the E-Stop switches visually show operators when an E-Stop is in the active state. The expanded E-stop offering now includes versions from the Lumotast 16, Lumotast 22, and RAFIX 22 FS+ switch families.
3-point PCB socket series covers pin sizes from 0.80 to 1.90mm
Harwin has announced further additions to its Sycamore Contact product offering. While this series was initially capable of accommodating 1mm and 1.5mm diameter contact pins, it now covers pin sizes from 0.80 to 1.90mm. There are a wide variety of scenarios where electronic devices/modules will require replacement over time (such as depleted gas sensors or worn-out energy harvesting transducers).
Silicon switches offer industry’s lowest insertion-loss
Analog Devices has announced production release of its 44GHz single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches, the ADRF5024 and ADRF5025 in advanced Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology. The two switches are broadband, with the ADRF5024 yielding flat frequency response from 100MHz to 44GHz, while the ADRF5025 from 9kHz to 44GHz, with repeatable characteristics better than 1.7dB insertion loss and 35dB channel to channel isolation.
Distributor and supplier team up to aid pushbutton migration
A collaboration between RS Components and Siemens will help customers with the phase out of the manufacturer’s SIRIUS 3SB3 22mm pushbutton range and the migration to Siemens’ SIRIUS ACT range of devices. In October 2017, Siemens announced the beginning of a gradual phase-out period – lasting two years – of its 22mm SIRIUS 3SB3 command and signalling devices, providing customers with enough time to migrate to the ...
Fan controllers deliver temperature-sensitive speed control
Energy-efficient fan controllers together with the 4300N series of fans from ebm-papst, are in stock at RS Components. The latest fan controller solutions are low-cost, credit-card-sized devices. The DCP controllers offer optimised power consumption by providing temperature-sensitive speed control for four-wire PWM controlled compact fans at 12, 24 and 48V DC.
